I recently dined at Osteria with a group of nine, and our experience was positive. The staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring that our large party was well taken care of throughout the evening. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, though we did notice a significant temperature difference between the left and right sides of the dining area. The left side near the windows was uncomfortably hot, while the right side offered a much cooler and more comfortable setting. I opted for the gluten-free penne with vodka sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the vodka sauce was rich and flavorful, making it a standout dish for me. I would love to see an expansion of their gluten-free options to cater to a wider range of dietary needs. Despite this, the exceptional vodka sauce alone is enough to ensure that I will be returning to Osteria. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience with great food and excellent service.

This restaurant deserves all the 5 stars and more! I regret not taking any photos of my meal. The food was amazing. It was flavored to perfection. This would be a meal i would not want to live without. You can taste and reminisce about the flavors after the fact. I did do take-out, it was fairly quick and the staff were great with giving me my meal. I wouldn't have figured but when looking at all the families occupying the restaurant that night, it makes sense after I tasted the food! This was found from a small google search!

This is not your regular standard Italian pizzeria. They have a unique blend of Italian foods. Everything made fresh. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for, and the food is worth it. Service is excellent everybody's welcome, and just a very nice atmosphere. it was recommended to us as having some of the best Italian food in North Jersey. It did not let us down. I ate the food too fast to take pictures..lol

Casual Italian restaurant. Renovations looks nice. For appetizer ordered Polipo alla Griglia, octopus was cooked perfectly. They had my favorite dish- Pappardelle Boscaiola. Delicious! My mom doesn't eat meat so she tried the Paccheri alla Norma (eggplant with pasta) which she really enjoyed. Overall food was great

I have been cooking for 20 years in kitchens, I am an executive chef for 5 years now. This place is hands down the best Italian food you will find in New Jersey. You can make a case for Chef Robbie Felice being the best, but when I came here last night for the first time i was absolutely blown away. What separates this place from everywhere else is the TECHNIQUES. These guys REALLY know what they're doing. I will be back to try everything on the menu until I have completed the entire thing. I can't even explain how perfectly cooked each piece of fish was in my pasta dish last night. Each one requires different cooking times and it's very hard to find places that make it without the calamari being overcooked or the shrimp being dry etc. Some places sear the shrimp too hard and it doesn't taste right. You can tell that they lightly poached each piece of seafood in the sauce until they were literally melt in your mouth tender and full of flavor - but the entire thing didn't have a hint of fishy taste! Fresh ingredients, passion and good techniques ! I am now a lifelong customer and I told my fiance last night that we can't move out of New Jersey now !!!

No disclaimers here! I love pizza! I typically about once every couple of months order for pickup and while they say 45 mins, they're usually done in about 25 and they call you back to let you know! Also, I have to say that they recently expanded their dining area! It looks beautiful and is usually full of patrons every time I go in there to pick up pizza. My favorite style of pizza to pick up from them is their rectangular style. It's not Sicilian technically because Sicilian implies that the trust is a little thicker throughout the pizza. This style is basically the same as a round pizza, but rectangular. Their ingredients are fresh too, from the cheeses, to the mushrooms to the sausage - it's all good and yummy! Local legend has it that the owner used to own a bakery - but like a bakery that specializes in the breadmaking (semolina, Italian, poppy, etc.). That would explain why the crust on this pizza is so good! Please give Osteria a shot and if you already have, then you know already what delicious goodness it is! Thank you!

Pizza may be the national food of Italy, but there is no single style because there are actually nine. Can you name them? One of them is called Pizza Alla Pala. These are oblong pizzas about 12"x24" baked directly on the stone floor of the pizza oven. Think pizza boards. My partner and I were lucky to have this kind so close to home in Garfield at Osteria Restaurant Pizzeria located on River Drive, where we ordered extra cheese with mushrooms for takeout dinner. These pizzas are crunchy and at least a half-inch thick. They may be cut into square slices, and the crust is amazing. The order arrived within a reasonable time and is still hot. The flavor was absolutely delicious, with the good dough and always fresh ingredients. The order was accurate, the delivery was free, and the driver was friendly, which we can recommend.

Still excellent - you seriously can't go wrong here. Happy to add that they now have wonderful home made desserts too. We had the zeppoles last night (more like beignets/profiteroles if you ask me) and they were great!
